Jason Brooks

Brooks became the fourth General Manager in the history of the Guelph Storm on April 20, 2009.  The former OHL forward, was named Head Coach prior to the 2008/09 season with the departure of former bench boss Dave Barr to the NHL.

A native of Listowel, Ontario, Brooks is in his ninth season with the Storm after joining the club for the 2001-02 season as a member of former Head Coach Jeff Jackson's coaching staff.

During the 2004/05 season, Jason added the title of Assistant GM along with several new responsibilities.  Prior to the 2007/08 season, Brooks was promoted again to Associate Coach.

In January 2008, Brooks earned a Gold Medal at the World Under 17 Hockey challenge in London, Ontario after guiding Team Ontario to the championship as Head Coach.  In 2006 and 2007, Brooks was behind the bench as an Assistant Coach with Team Ontario .

A former 2nd round selection of the Ottawa 67's, Brooks played three seasons in the league before seeing his playing days cut short by injuries.  Brooks graduated from the league and enrolled at the University of Waterloo where he earned a degree in history.

After finishing his studies, Brooks went on to coach at University of Waterloo and later in Listowel (Jr. B) before accepting his first position in the OHL. 

Jason currently lives in his hometown of Listowel with his wife Jessica and their daughters Sydney and Kennedy.
