YEAR IN REVIEW... The 1998-99 season saw the third new coach in 3 seasons when Geoff Ward stepped behind the bench to replace George Burnett. The season was expected to be a rebuilding year for the team as several key players graduated from the 98-99 team. A young, hard-working team challenged for the OHL regular season title for the early part of the season. The Storm would fall short of the OHL title, but they did claim their fourth divisional title in five seasons, with a record of 44-22-2. In the playoffs, Guelph defeated the Erie Otters in the first round, before falling to the Owen Sound Platers in the quarter-finals.
