The Guelph Storm is planning on conducting two separate Hockey Camps this summer.
BOYS HOCKEY - PRE-SEASON CONDITIONING - 1993, 1994, 1995 born players
Storm Assistant Coaches Dave Milek and Chris Hajt will be holding summer hockey camps for midget and bantam aged players throughout the course of four weeks this summer. Guelph Minor Hockey coaches will also be encouraged to assist the Guelph Storm Coaching Staff in the on ice direction and coaching of the players.
The camp will be held at Teen Ranch just outside of Orangeville and will offer 3 hours of ice time per day.
There is a limit to 30 players/age group (20 forwards, 10 defence, 2 goalies). Preference will be given to, but not limited to, AAA skill level players.

GUELPH STORM SKILLS DEVELOPMENT CAMP - Ages 6-9, 10-13 and skill levels
The Guelph Storm are pleased to announce that they will be hosting a hockey day camp for kids aged 6-9 and 10-13 during the week of August 17th-21st at the Sleeman Centre.
Registration for the camp will begin at 10:00 am on Monday, April 6th. Please note registration will ONLY be available online on a first come, first serve basis. No phone calls, faxes or in person drop offs will be accepted. Check back to this page for the online registration link.

The Guelph Storm Skills Development Camp Experience
Limited to 78 participants, the Guelph Storm Skills Development Camp provides day campers with three hours of on-ice and three hours of off-ice training each day. Day campers will receive instruction from OHL and NHL experienced instructors including current and former Guelph Storm players. Parents can be assured that your son/daughter will be fully supervised at all times ensuring safety and well-being.
All campers will be divided into two large groups (ages 6-9 & ages 10-13) to be led by one of two Guelph Storm Assistant Coaches Chris Hajt or Dave Milek. These groups will be further divided into two ‘teams' including a maximum of 18 skaters and 2 goaltenders and supervised by 3 current or former Guelph Storm players.
Junior Program (Ages 6-9) - 36 skaters + 4 goalies maximum
Supervision: Lead Instructor (Guelph Storm Assistant Coach) plus four Guelph Storm players & one goaltending instructor
The Guelph Storm ‘Junior Program' is designed to develop the most important skills in hockey with an emphasis on teaching and challenging each camper to prepare them for the next level.
Senior Program (Ages 10-13) - 36 skaters + 4 goalies maximum
Supervision: Lead Instructor (Guelph Storm Assistant Coach) plus four Guelph Storm players & one goaltending instructor
The Guelph Storm ‘Senior Program' is designed to develop the necessary skills to prepare campers for the challenges that await them in the advanced levels of competition. The program will emphasize the development of important individual skills while also stressing team fundamentals and strategies.
On-ice Features
Two on-ice sessions daily which equals 3 hours of on-ice training including:
• Two 90 minute on-ice Power Skating sessions during the week led by Storm Skating Coach and World Figure Skating Champion Barb Underhill
• Daily Skills Development training under the direction of Storm coaches Chris Hajt and Dave Milek and demonstrated/directed by current and/or former Storm players
• On the final day of camp, participants will put their improved skills to the test by competing in a 90 minute game. The session will be recorded and used for video purposes later that day.
Off-ice Features
Two off-ice sessions daily which equals 3 hours of off-ice activity & training including:
• Two 90 minute sessions during the week with Guelph Storm Strength and Conditioning coach Doug Pflug designed specifically for different age groups. Participants will gain an understanding of the importance of off-ice conditioning and learn some key strength building exercises.
• One 90 minute session with Guelph Storm Sports Psychologist Dr. Neil Widmeyer designed specifically for different age groups. Participants will gain a better understanding of the importance of mental preparation including a discussion on goal setting.
• One 90 minute supervised ‘fun sports' session each day with tournaments and contests for all participants.
• Two 90 minute video training sessions each week to give introduction to systems and review 90 minute game footage.

Dates & Participants:
The 2009 Guelph Storm Skill Development Camp will be offered during only one week this summer. The camp will be limited to 36 skaters aged 6-9 and 36 skaters aged 10-13. In addition, a limit of 4 goaltenders aged 6-9 and 4 goaltenders aged 10-13 will be enrolled. Registrants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cost:
$325 for skaters, $205 for goalies

Facility
All on-ice and off-ice training will be hosted at the Sleeman Centre - the ‘Home of the Guelph Storm'. Each age division will be split into two groups with each group using the same dressing room for the duration of the camp.
Pick up and Drop off at Gate #1 beside the Sleeman Centre Box Office just inside the doors
Equipment
Appropriate hockey equipment is the responsibility of each participant including goaltenders. Full gear must be worn for each on-ice session. Gym clothing and running shoes are appropriate for off-ice.
Lunch & Snacks
Each child will be expected to provide their own lunch, 2 healthy snacks. Bottled water will be provided. If your child would prefer a different drink, he/she should bring plenty of refreshments. Please avoid nut products.
