NHL Central Scouting Bureau released their mid-term rankings for the 2010 to be held June 25-26 at Staples Center.  Storm goaltending prospect Joel Vienneau, who is currently playing in the OPJHL with the Kingston Voyageurs was ranked among the Top 30 North American goaltenders.

Selected by the Storm in the 7th round of the 2008 OHL Priority Selection, Vienneau has been outstanding this year for the Voyageurs.  The Hearst, Ontario native has a league best 2.10 GAA and 0.929 SV%.  Vienneau, who will turn 18 on January 18th is currently ranked 29th among all North American draft eligible goaltenders.

A trio of OHLers hold the top 3 spots in the rankings among North American skaters.  Teammates Taylor Hall and Cam Fowler of the Windsor Spitfires rank 1 and 3, while Plymouth Whalers forward Tyler Seguin ranks 2nd overall.  Seguin and the Whalers will visit the Sleeman Centre on Wednesday, February 10th for the Storm's last 'Wecession Wednesday' game with all regular priced lower bowl tickets just $5.00.

HALL GRABS MIDTERM TOP SPOT OVER SEGUIN, FOWLER

The battle for the top spot at the 2010 Entry Draft has turned into a three-horse race. And like any good horse race, this one currently is too close to call.

In NHL Central Scouting's midterm ranking of North American skaters, Windsor Spitfires forward Taylor Hall currently leads the Plymouth Whalers' Tyler Seguin and Windsor defenseman Cam Fowler by a nose. And there's a lot more time before the stretch run, meaning a lot can change between now and April, when the final rankings are released, and it could last all the way to the draft in Los Angeles, to be held June 25-26 at Staples Center.

"We're splitting hairs," Central Scouting Director E.J. McGuire told NHL.com. "What does a team need? That's how close it is. Does a team need a right-shot center (Seguin)? There's your answer. Does a team need a speedy left wing (Hall)? There's your answer. Does your team need a defenseman (Fowler)? There's your answer."
