The Guelph Storm is excited to make public the final design of the video scoreboard to be installed in the Sleeman Centre. The centre-hung, four-sided video scoreboard is the first of its kind in the OHL featuring top and bottom LED video rings. Installation of the video scoreboard
is expected in late-July / early-August and will be debuted at the Guelph Storm’s 2010-11 regular season home opener.
The video scoreboard will feature approximately 340 square feet of full-colour LED video displays. This includes four high-definition aspect screens each measuring slightly less than 50 square feet, along with a top ring measuring nearly 100 square feet and a lower ring that is approximately 50 square feet.
Fan experience will be enhanced by replays and interactive promotions on the four large screens. In addition the two large, full-colour LED video rings will provide a viewing experience unique to the Sleeman Centre.
Daktronics will be the manufacturer of the video scoreboard. Recognized worldwide in its industry as the leading
designer and manufacturer of electronic scoreboards, programmable display systems, and large screen video displays, Daktronics’ video scoreboards can be seen at venues across North America. In Canada alone, Daktronics has video scoreboards in NHL arenas that are home to the Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames and Montreal Canadiens.
