Storm Vice President and General Manager Mike Kelly announced today that a mutual decision has been made for Connor Tresham to return to his home in Toronto.

Stated Kelly, "given a rather difficult situation for both Connor and the Storm, it has been decided that Connor will no longer remain in Guelph with the team, but instead return to Toronto. The Storm would like to thank Connor for his contribution to the team and wish him success with both his hockey and academic pursuits."

Tresham was originally drafted in the 4th round, 73rd overall, in the 2007 OHL Priority Selection. Playing two years in a Storm uniform, the 19 year old played 97 games and picked up nine points (three goals and six assists).

The McGowan Family (Section 107, Row 1) are very sad to see Connor leave. I really wonder about the decisions that are made by people like VP's/GM's, coaches...have you ever PLAYED hockey before? Do you listen to the fans?
We LOVE you Connor!!!

Makes no sense at this time of year with 5 games left and then playoffs. There are also not a lot of extra bodies around with Dave Searle gone home to fill in for injured players or suspensions. As a 19 year old, Connor deserved more icetime, respect and work or be traded earlier in the season. Would have been classy, for the sake of a month to make things work. My 4 year old, Elyse, loves Connor and he has proven himself to be a class act. Can not say the same of the Storm organization! VERY DISAPPOINTING!

This is a part of our hockey system i hate. Benching hockey talent or holding on to players just in case. A definite misuse of people. Conner Tresham was a talented player and in the time that i seen him play on the ice I always saw a spark that was waiting to become the player he was supposed to be. however forwhatever reason he kept getting pushed aside for the new novelty player. the part i dislike is that he should have been traded in his first year to be allowed to develop on another team. Instead we sit on him and when there is no reason to keep him. we now wasted a potential talent. I hope u read this Mike with some conscience.
