That must have been how the Owen Sound Attack players felt in a 6-1 victory over the reeling Storm, at team that has now lost four of its five games in December, allowing 26 goals in that span.

The Storm played like it was non-contact hockey, at least in its own end, Saturday night.

Several times Owen Sound players set up camp unmolested around Garret Sparks’ crease and had several whacks at loose pucks that ended up in the back of the net.

“You’re absolutely right. We were reaching, we weren’t recovering and we weren’t paying the price in front of the net and Owen Sound was thriving off of that,” Storm assistant coach Chris Hajt said when asked about the soft play around the net.

It doesn’t get much easier, as the Storm hosts the nation’s top-ranked London Knights Sunday afternoon.
