An 8-2 home ice loss on Thursday night leaves the Storm down 3-1 in the best-of-seven series needing three straight wins to reach the second round.

Like every other game in the series, the Knights scored first but for the first time Guelph would bounce back to tie the game at one apiece.  The 1-1 lasted for just over three minutes and marked the last time the Storm was in this game.  London would strike for three powerplay goals on four opportunities and before the midway point of the game owned a commanding 6-2 lead.

Matt Sisca provided all of the offence for the hosts notching his second and third goals of the post season. Sisca's first of the game tied the game at one after Seth Griffith blasted a snapshot short side under Brandon Foote's arm.  After Sisca's quick shot from the slot evened the score, Nazem Kadri scored with the man advantage and Justin Taylor stripped a Storm forward behind the goal to notch the eventual winner.  Chris De Sousa added his first of the playoffs on the powerplay with a nice one-timer and London took a 4-1 lead into the first intermission.  The visitors earned every part of the three goal lead badly outplaying and outchancing Guelph in the opening twenty and outshooting the Storm 16-4.

The second period was tighter on the shot clock, but only slightly tighter on the scoreboard as London added three more compared to a single by the Storm.  By the time Guelph went on their only powerplay of the night at 13:25 of the second they were down four goals. Matt Sisca would notch his second scooping up a long rebound off an Adam Comrie shot then it was four straight for London.  Kalle Ecklund, Leigh Salters and Daniel Erlich finished the scoring in the second and with less than ten seconds to play in regulation Chris Brown made it an 8-2 final.

A Storm win in Game Five tomorrow night in London guarantees that the series will return to the Sleeman Centre for Game Six on Sunday afternoon at 2 pm.  Don't be left out of 'Round One Rush' with all regular priced lower bowl tickets only $10 for the Storm's first round.  The Storm box office is open 10 am - 5 pm on Friday, 10 am - 2 pm on Saturday and 10 am until the end of the second intermission on Sunday for in-person or phone orders at (519) 837-9690.  Until Game Six is determined necessary - all Game Six tickets must be purchased using a credit card.  Click here to purchase online.
