Tony Saxon, Guelph Mercury - The Guelph Storm celebrated the holidays a little early Saturday at the Sleeman Centre.

The Storm snapped a four-game winless skid with a convincing 7-3 win over the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.

The team held a Christmas party after the game before most of the players departed for home. They return to practice on Boxing Day and resume league play on Dec. 28.

“It was important to end the first half on a good note,” said winger Scott Kosmachuk, who had a goal and three assists to lead the attack. “It’s nice to have that in your head as you go home rather than a losing streak.”
