The Storm evened the home and home series against the Battalion on Friday night defeating Brampton 4-1. PatrickWatling, Robby Fabbri, Brody Milne and Daniel Poliziani each scored for the Storm to hand the Battalion their first loss in preseason action. Garret Sparks had the start in net making 30 saves.

The Storm jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the first period thanks to goals by Watling and Fabbri. In the second, Milne made it 3-0 just over four minutes into the period. Cody McNaughton made a pretty pass to the slot from behind the net out front to Milne who one-timed the puck past Jake Smith. Later in the second, Brampton's Derek Froats tapped in a rebound off a Mike Amadio shot to score the Battalion's first goal of the night shorthanded at 11:15 of the second. The Storm answered right back with Daniel Poliziani burying a pass from McNaughton on the powerplay to make it 4-1 and pull ahead by three.

With a scoreless third period, the Storm would go on to win 4-1 avenging their 5-2 loss last night at the Powerade Centre. Improving their pre season record to 3-2, the Storm face the Barrie Colts one last time in Exhibition action tomorrow night in Barrie.

The Storm will open the 2012-13 regular season next Friday, September 21st against the Saginaw Spirit. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by visiting or calling the Guelph Storm Box Office at 519-837-9690.
