By Tony Saxon, Guelph Mercury - It took a while, but as of Friday night the Guelph Storm is back in the playoffs.

Guelph’s 4-3 win over the Sarnia Sting at the Sleeman Centre, combined with the Owen Sound Attack’s 4-2 loss to the London Knights, leaves the Storm and Attack tied for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

It was the Storm’s fourth win in a row.

Guelph has played three less games than Owen Sound and the two teams meet Saturday night in Owen Sound.

Yes, there are 15 games left in the regular season, but the Storm is talking the talk and walking the walk right now.

“Obviously we want to move up. If you finish eighth you play Windsor and everybody knows how daunting that would be in the first round,” said red-hot Storm sniper Peter Holland. “We’re shooting for Saginaw and Erie. Catching Owen Sound is a start.”

Last night's game was one of the worst officiating ive seen. With 4 officials on the ice there is no excuse. It is as if they are trying to control the outcome of the game. Yes, i understand officiating can be difficult but performances like last night left spectators disgusted with the obvious jeering and an almost out of control game in the third period. Keep it FAIR and in control. Let them play Hockey
