The Guelph Storm announced today that forward Brock McGinn is the Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, November 27th.
McGinn picked up three points, including two goals and one assist this past week. On Tuesday night in Kitchener, the 18 year old scored the lone Storm goal in the 6-1 loss to the Rangers. Held off the scoresheet on Friday and Saturday against the Bulls and the Whalers, the Fergus native bounced back with an impressive game on Sunday against the Majors where he assisted on Stephen Gaskin’s goal and scored the winning goal at 12:44 of the third period. Named first star of the game, McGinn played his best game of the weekend.
With three points this week, McGinn currently has 11 points, seven goals and four assists. Missing 10 games due to a suspension earlier this season, McGinn has been hot as of late recording five points in his last five games played.
Next up, the Storm faces another three in three this coming weekend. Friday night, the Owen Sound Attack enter the Eye of the Storm for a 7:30pm start. On Saturday, the Storm travels to Plymouth to take on the Whalers before heading to Saginaw on Sunday to face off against the Spirit. Tickets are still available for Friday’s game and can be purchased online or by visiting or calling the Guelph Storm Box Office at 519-837-9690.
