Playing Friday night hockey at the Sleeman Centre for the first time since December 9th the Storm came out flat against a team that they're chasing in the Western Conference playoff race falling 5-0 versus the Windsor Spitfires.
Before the game the Storm honoured Hunter Garlent (pictured) along with Adam Bateman and Jordan Maletta for their participation in the recent World Under-17 Challenge and also recognized Alexander Khokhlachev of the Spitfires, as well as Scott Walker and Tanner Richard who each represented their home country at the World Juniors.
Good news and bad news for the home side in the first as the Storm surrendered just five shots, but managed only five of their own and found themselves down 2-0.
Early in the second, it looked like Guelph had cut the lead in half but after a lengthy video review the call on the ice was reversed and the score remained 2-0.
Windsor scored three times with the man advantage over the last period and a half to cap off the 5-0 whitewash.
The Storm will have little time to regroup as they travel to Peterborough tomorrow to face the Petes in a 7:05 start live on Rogers 20 and 1460 CJOY.
