Wednesday night at the Sleeman Centre, the Storm owned one goal leads on three separate occasions only to see the St. Michael's Majors even the score each time before the visitors scored three unanswered goals in the last seven minutes to skate away with a 6-4 win.
Jason Dickinson scored a pair, his second and third of the year while Zack Leslie also notched his second in a losing effort. Also finding the back of the net was Scott Kosmachuk in the first to open the scoring.
Ahead 2-1 with a man advantage to close the middle twenty, it looked like the Storm would head into the third with a one goal advantage at worst, but instead some sloppy defensive zone play led to shorthanded tally by Jamie Wise with only one second to play.
While Guelph answered back early in the third, the Majors would score four times in the final 11:28 to grab the win.
The Storm's next action will be on New Year's Eve in St. Catharines against the Niagara IceDogs at 6 pm. The next afternoon at 2 pm, it's the annual New Year's Day matinee at the Sleeman Centre when the Kitchener Rangers visit for a 2 pm start.
