The Guelph Storm announced today that goaltender Brandon Foote is the AMJ Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, March 13th.
Foote started in both Storm games this past weekend allowing just three goals on 58 shots. Named the second star of the game on Friday in the Storm’s 5-1 win over the Knights, the Whitby native had a goals against average of 2.50 and a save percentage of 0.921 over the two games.
Playing his best hockey as of late, Foote currently has a record of 22-19-4-2 and a save percentage of 0.895 with a goals against average of 3.63.
Next up, the Storm will look to continue gaining ground on the London Knights in the battle for 7th in the Western Conference as they host the Kitchener Rangers at 7:00 pm on Wednesday at the Sleeman Centre. On Friday night, the Storm look to upset the Western Conference best Owen Sound Attack in the annual Fan Appreciation game at the Sleeman Centre before travelling to Plymouth for the final game of the 2010-2011 regular season.
