Callahan and Linemates Lead USA To Victory

The United States’ top line of Patrick O’Sullivan, Drew Stafford and Ryan Callahan  accounted for five points in Team USA’s 3-0 shutout win over the University of North Dakota at Ralph Engelstad Arena.

The Storm’s Callahan picked up a single assist in the contest, assisting on O’Sullivan’s second period goal.  Callahan finished the game with a +2 rating.

Team USA plays one more exhibition game, Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. CST in Thief River Falls, Minn., where it will face Germany. The 2005 IIHF World Junior Championship opens in earnest on Dec. 25 and will be played at Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks and Ralph Engelstad Arena in Thief River Falls from Dec. 25, 2004-Jan. 4, 2005.

Callahan marks the seventh occasion in the Storm’s 14-year history that a player has donned the American ‘Red, White and Blue’, following in the footsteps of Storm alumni Chris Hajt (’97, ’98), Chris Madden (’99), Dustin Brown (’02, ’03) and Dwight LaBrosse (’02).

Wednesday, December 29, Belarus vs. USA, 8:30 pm et
Thursday, December 30, USA vs. Czech Republic, 8:30 pm et
